Because we will be meeting in person, all participants must provide proof of vaccination and booster shot. I will have secured a room that is big enough for to offer reasonable circulation. If I contract COVID and am well enough, we will meet virtually. If a participant contracts COVID, they can participate virtually (I will use Meeting Owl technology to allow virtual participation). If not well enough, a recording of every session will be available.
This is an in person group for folks living in or nearby Providence Rhode Island. Exact meeting site TBD and will be some place in Providence RI. This class will meet almost every week at the same time for 16 weeks. There will be a gap on Nov 24 for Thanksgiving and October 13, we will meet virtually.
What you'll learn:
You will learn the IFS model, have supervised practice sessions (recorded for your personal review), learn to recognise your own "therapist parts", discover how to access more of your own "Self energy" and have the opportunity to have all of your questions answered. You will also have the opportunity to participate in and/or witness live demos.
There is a 90 page course manual that supports the course and many recorded and annotated IFS sessions that demonstrate the application of the IFS protocol. Each didactic teaching session and consult group is recorded for your use alone. At the end of the ThinkingHeart intensive you will have a solid foundation with the model, and developed the confidence to begin using the model in your practice.
Requirements:
ThinkingHeart Intensive is open for therapists, counsellors, coaches, pastoral counsellors or other mental health professionals; however you must be actively engaged in 1:1 work with clients to be able to practice and implement the teachings.
